RESUME MECHANICS

Centered around practical writing styles for resumes in this new age of employment. With so much fierce competition, people must arm themselves with superior documentation that will help set them apart from all other candidates. In this session, I teach specific strategies and approaches to resume and cover letter writing that addresses each person’s unique situation (job hoppers, long term unemployed, returning to the workforce, or ready for promotion/change within your profession). JOB SEARCH STRATEGY

Different from the resume mechanics, this interactive discussion is primarily focused on executing the job search. We’ve all heard how networking is so imperative, but this session will actively show the audience to perform networking for job opportunities, the use of social media platforms (Linked In, Twitter, Facebook) to find opportunities and also focuses on proper etiquette when using these sites during a job search. Also addressed, is a preliminary Linked In profile set up for all participants. Attendees will walk away with specific tasks and approaches to conducting their job search with the intention of accelerating their efforts.
